Gemini 105MC
With the aid of computer-generated hull shapes, a new planning hull was developed that cuts through the water with almost no bow wave, reducing the force to push the boat a 1/2-knot faster than earlier Geminis by 25-percent. Improved stability will allow an increase in sail area for racing. Long waterline length, narrow bows, wide flat keel and transom offer high, load-carrying hulls that give a no-pitching, level ride that cuts through 3-foot waves unnoticed. The Gemini 105MC has the same reliable, easily adjusted centerboards as its predecessors.

The new Gemini hulls have increased stability because while the overall beam of the boat remained the same, the centers of buoyancy were moved as far apart as possible. The hulls being so shallow also allows the centers of buoyancy to be high. With a lot of attention to detail and a low aerodynamic profile the center of gravity of Gemini is very low. The unique low cabin and see through pilothouse allows not only a low boom but an efficient end plate to the main sail as the boom just kisses the pilot house.

Gemini has very efficient hulls and centerboards so she does not need a large sail area to get good performance. The short mast and relatively small sail area keeps the center of effort low. Although Gemini only has a 14' beam she still has one of the best safety ratios of any catamaran on the market.
